The Arrow Head

I've admired a particular tree for years thinking it was straight out of a Lord of the Rings movie.  Decades later I realized that it's unique look was because it was covered with burls.   That tree has since died and from that tree I bring you The Arrowhead named after its' unique shape.  It reminds me of my cousin Todd who found Native-America arrowheads on the home farm near Green Bay.  Todd too has passed and so maybe this bowl is tribute to both?   This bowl is hand carved out of spalted boxelder.  If you look close you will see two pink accents which are naturally occurring in some boxelder.    The bowl is 16" x 12" x 4" and makes a perfect fruit bowl.
